Accommodations During Pokalde Peak Climb with Everest Base Camp Trek

In accordance with our standard category, we Himalayan Trekkers offer the best 3-star category lodging options in Kathmandu on a twin/double sharing basis. However, you can choose from 4-star to 5-star hotels/resorts, modest lodges, and even hostels in Kathmandu.

Your accommodations in the Himalayas will be trekking teahouses with minimal amenities. The rooms will be on a twin/group sharing basis furnished with a bed, mattress, blanket, and pillow as a bare minimum. While you can get the rooms with private bathrooms in Lukla, Namche Bazaar, you might have to share the restrooms as you move up to the higher regions. And, in areas where trekking lodges and teahouses are not available, we provide lodging in tent camps.

Meals during Pokalde Peak Climb with Everest Base Camp Trek

Himalayan Trekkers will offer all three meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—with the exception of the lunches and dinners in Kathmandu, which have a wide variety of dining options. We can recommend the eateries in Kathmandu to meet your menu choice and budget.

During the trekking journey starting from Lukla, you will be served breakfast and dinner at the teahouse where you spend the night and lunch at the teahouse on the way to your onward destination. Please keep in mind that the menu options keep on going limited with the increasing elevation, mostly after Namche Bazaar. The most well-known dishes are Nepali staple Dal-Bhat-Tarkari (rice, lentil soup, and seasonal vegetables), local dishes, noodles, dumplings, flatbreads, potatoes, fried bread, and mushroom soup. Then, during the climbing duration, our tent cooks will provide you with freshly cooked meals.
