A Great Experience - 35 Day Solo Tour of Nepal, Bhutan, and India!
My 35 day solo tour with Adventure Mission Nepal covering Nepal, Bhutan, and India was a great experience! Raj Dhamala, the owner of Adventure Mission Nepal worked with me for 10 months to plan it, and replied to my dozens of emailed questions promptly. The cost was agreed on in advance, and nothing was added. Raj added some upgrades after my arrival at no extra cost due to the weather.
Raj met me at the airport in Nepal and several other times at my hotel to confirm my itinerary and satisfaction with the tour activities. He also took the time to show me some of the sights himself, and I had the extra pleasure of having dinner at his home with his family.
The coordination of my itinerary between countries and guides was very good. Some places I visited had very few other tourist, a plus in my book. Hotels were all of good quality and comfortable.
My guides in Nepal, Bhutan, and India were all knowledgeable about the places I visited, and very attentive. They went out of their way to take my fitness level into account, both on foot and on horseback. A special thanks to Joel Jamkatel in Nepal, and my guide in Bhutan who were both outstanding.
As the Monsoon lingered, changes were made to my itinerary to increase my chances for mountain views which worked out well. Joel is an excellent photographer, and speaks very good English. He wrote out the changed itinerary for me to keep and emailed me additional pictures at my request after my return to the U.S. of things I missed photographing myself (like me on horseback) which I really appreciated.
Being almost 60 years old with some fitness issues, finding Adventure Mission Nepal on the internet was a stroke of good fortune. I can recommend Adventure Mission Nepal very highly. The company is well run and ethical, and treats its clients very well. In my opinion, they provided excellent value for the money as well.
I hope to be able to return to Nepal soon for another tour with Adventure Mission Nepal. Thanks for everything!
